Alicia is working closely with the Mindhous Wellness team to provide counselling services as a practicum student. She is completing her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology with Yorkville University. She achieved a Bachelor of Arts with combined honours in Psychology and International Development Studies with Dalhousie University.
Alicia has recently returned to Nova Scotia after living and working in Nunavut. She has spent over six years supporting various marginalized groups in frontline positions. She has worked with adults and youth in different settings, including an emergency shelter, a mental health facility, and group homes. Alicia is passionate about social justice and believes that clients’ social and cultural contexts are key pieces of information for providing appropriate support. She has a passion for working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients.
